Our Governance

Future Foundations is a registered charity with Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) and Deductible Gift Recipients (DGR) status. This means that you can be confident about who we are and that your donation is tax deductible.

While the ASX governance guidelines do not fully apply to Future Foundations, the Board and Management team believe that it is important to comply with these guidelines where possible.

The Future Foundations Constitution was adopted on 5 October 2011. The Constitution outlines the objectives of Future Foundations as follows:

  • alleviate the effects, and break the cycle, of poverty, suffering, distress, misfortune and helplessness of disadvantaged young people in Australia
  • lift the aspirations of young people living with disadvantage
  • improve the life prospects of young people living with disadvantage and in doing so, contribute in a meaningful way to society

Future Foundations aims to achieve these objectives through the provision of funding and mentoring, which includes selecting young people with otherwise limited opportunities and allowing them to develop a community project that will be both beneficial to and supported by their local community.
